He leaves behind Chloe, his cat, if you know you know; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will all truly miss him.

He was our husband, father, bother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was our mister fixit, mechanic, boat captain, and “TRUE” story teller.

Roy was born and raised in Independence, MO., a 1965 graduate of William Chrisman HS. He had a partnership business in a tire shop at Wild Woody’s, worked in the KC rail yards, was a truck driver for Montgomery Wards, and was a mechanic for Jack Miller dealership. He retired at the Lake of the Ozarks in 2005 and soon had to find something to do to help occupy his time. He worked at Laurie Quick Lube, Advantage Marina, and West Lake Marina in Laurie, MO. Retired again then started a lawn mowing and pool cleaning service with his fishing buddy, Ron Rupp.

He was a member of many great organizations throughout his life, to name a couple, The Rod-Tique’s of Independence, MO. and Elks Lodge of Laurie, MO.

Roy enjoyed his family, friends, old cars, boats, fishing, and the lake. Roy also enjoined 1940/50/60/70’s old country music, western movies, and two step dancing with Margie through life.

We celebrate Roy’s life and accomplishments with fond and happy memories, rest in peace until we see you again.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11:00-1:00 p.m., with a moment of open share to begin at 12:00 p.m., at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
