Jean “Jeanie” Marie Tebeau, daughter of Odett and Laura (Reed) Schleeper, was born August 13, 1965 in St. Charles, Missouri. She departed this life June 15, 2026 in her home at the age of sixty years, ten months and two days.

On October 13, 2023 she was united in marriage to Jeff Tebeau at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton, Missouri.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Dennis Schleeper and Neil Schleeper; sister, Wanda Patton; step-son, Josh Tebeau; and nephew, Steven Spier.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Tebeau; daughter, Jessica Fox; sister, Linda Stark and her daughter, Kathy; sister, Laura Spier, her daughter Angie; sister-in-law, Julie Scarfino; nieces, Laurie and Kristen; brother, Tim Schleeper; sister Donna; nephew, Neil Schleeper, Jr.; nephew, Dennis, Jr.; nieces, Janet and Joanne; other relatives and many friends.

Jeanie was the youngest of eight children and lead a colorful life. Jeanie was raised in Saint Louis County, living in Saint Ann, graduated from Ritenour High School and moved into the house her parents built in Saint Clair. She then moved to Cuba, Missouri, and when she married Jeff, they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks.

Jeanie was a devout Catholic and was an active member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church. She loved holidays, Christmas and Thanksgiving, in particular, and always had to attend Midnight Mass and enjoyed helping serve food at the church Thanksgiving for Sisters for Christ and the Thanksgiving Free Dinner at the Church.

In her spare time Jeanie enjoyed Harley Davidson rides, beach trips, her dogs, listening to live music, boating, riding her wave runner, swimming, working out, playing her Harley Davidson pinball machine, and mostly helping others, which is why she loved her job so much. She started as a Peer Support Specialist, helping justice involved people find training and jobs at the Central Workforce Development Region. Later, she moved up to Case Manager where she was able to help everyone.

She did a cartwheel out of a plane on her skydiving adventure at the end of her birthday month, in August and two weeks later was diagnosed with cancer, to which she fought a hard battle. Jeanie will be dearly missed, leaving a void in many lives, but here on earth is not home, and we will all rejoice together.

A graveside service will be held at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Camdenton, Missouri on July 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
