Jeffrey Dean
Starr
Oct 28, 1968 — Jul 30, 2026
Jeffrey Dean Starr, son of the late Jesse (Danny) & Linda Starr, was born on October 28, 1968 and departed this life on July 30, 2026. At the time of his passing, Jeff was fifty-seven years, nine months and two days of age.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Danny Starr and mother Linda Starr.
He is survived by his wife, Dawne Starr; his children, Brianna Starr, Makenzee Starr, Mylee (Skyler) Hanks, Amanda Baker (Nick Latta), Sammi (Todd) Bithell, and C.J. Baker; his grandchildren, Isabella, Bentley, Korbin, Landon, William, Nick, Lane, Joey, Gunner, Maylynne, and Wrenlee; one sister, Tonia Starr; one brother, Andy (Bean Dip) Wyatt; and one niece, Brooklynn Angell. Jeff also leaves behind many friends and other family members who will truly miss him.
Jeff was raised in Camdenton, Missouri and attended Camdenton High School. After finishing his time in school, Jeff began a very long career in the towing service, he worked for several towing services at The Lake of the Ozarks as well as owning and operating Starr’s Towing. In addition to his many years in the towing service, Jeff spent 10 years as a volunteer firefighter with Mid-County Fire Protection District. On July 10, 2026, after 25 years together, Jeff was united in marriage to Dawne Baker.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, operating his backhoe and bob cat, and spending time with family and friends. Many would be surprised to know that Jeff loved to cook and was actually a very good cook. Nothing was more special to him than spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather (Papa), brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
