Johnny "John" Hagen, 69, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026.

John was born on February 10, 1957, at St. Luke's Hospital in Davenport, Iowa, to John "Jack" Hagen and Cecilia "Sally" Reiland Hagen. Services to Celebrate his life will be held on August 29, 2026 at 10:00 am at Riverview Baptist Church 989 Rt. 42 Osage Beach, MO 65049, a luncheon will follow.

John grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa, where he built the strong work ethic and caring spirit that defined his life. John graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Accounting. After many years of hard work, he retired to Lake Ozark, Missouri.

John was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Vickie Hagen, and a loving father to Elizabeth Walker, Jessica Hagen, and Lucas Hagen. He was a proud grandfather to his five grandchildren, Vincent Hagen O'Neil, London Walker, Chloe Walker, Emery Hagen, and Osyris Hagen, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy. He is also survived by his brother Mike Hagen (wife Cindy), sisters Marlise Nelson (husband Lee), Mari Lagerstrom (husband Gary), Sue Roush (husband Mike), along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Throughout his life, John was a hardworking entrepreneur. He was an Amoco \Dealer, managed rental properties, remodeled homes, and was known as a dependable maintenance man who could fix just about anything. He took great pride in providing for his family and helping others whenever he could.

A faithful member of Riverview Baptist Church, John lived out his Christian faith through service to others. He volunteered with Lamb House and Share of the Harvest, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His greatest accomplishment was his unwavering faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He cherished his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather above all else.

John found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, cooking meals for those he loved, and traveling and exploring new places with his wife. He had a generous heart, a kind spirit, and a wonderful sense of humor that made everyone feel welcome.

To know John was to know someone who genuinely cared about others and always tried to leave people better than he found them

John will be remembered as an all-around great man, a faithful Christian, devoted family man, loyal friend, and someone whose kindness, strength, and love touched countless lives. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is home with his Savior, and his legacy of faith, love, and generosity will continue through all who knew and loved him.
