Kenneth Harold
Myers
Jan 15, 1947 — Jun 20, 2026
Kenneth (Kenny) Harold Myers was born on January 15, 1947 in Niangua, Missouri to Dee and Wilma Myers. Like most families of the time, there were several children to feed and not many resources to do it. But the family managed and thrived thanks to the strong work ethic of the Myers family. Kenny proudly served the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he earned a Purple Heart due to his sacrifice for our country. Kenny was a member of the Pleasant Grove Old Time Baptist Church, where he testified of his love for the Lord for all to hear.
On October 1, 1971, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Louise (Webster) Myers. He loved her to the moon and back, and she him. To them were born two children, Robert Dale Myers (1972) and Amanda Irene (Myers) Gray (1978). Robert (Bob) grew to a strapping young man with a heart for service and people. He joined the Emergency Medical Technician profession and proudly served the Camdenton area until his passing in 1997. Amanda also had a heart for service and a talent for music (like her brother), which she taught until she was led to protect abused and neglected children and she joined the State of Missouri ranks.
Kenny was loved by so many due to his humor, his great love of his friends and family, and his generosity. While he was a private person by nature, he never met a stranger. He was gruff, but gentle; loud, but soft. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and a friend to all. He will be sorely missed.
Kenny is preceded in death by his mother and father; his sister, Louise (Myers) Smith; brother-in-law, Jack Smith; nephew, William (Willie) Smith; niece, Jennifer Myers; brother, Ron (Ronnie) Myers; and Kenny’s beloved son, who is currently showing him around Heaven after their joyous and loving reunion above. He leaves behind his loving wife, Bonnie; his daughter, Amanda and her husband Michael (Mick) Gray; his brothers, Rick and Jack (Kathy) Myers; and a multitude of family and friends too many to count.
Graveside services for Kenny will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 11, 2026 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Camdenton, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to send letters of stories about Kenny to Bonnie - contact the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home for contact information. Any donations anyone would like to make, can be made to the People Helping Paws Cat Rescue of Jefferson City in Kenny’s name.
