Lashley Tanner McDaniel, born March 6, 1993, was born and raised in Camdenton, Missouri; a place he was proud to call home. He came into this world as a beloved baby to Kim and Candace, and a special baby brother to Eric and Monique, and 3 years later, became a proud big brother to Hannah. He truly believed there was no better place in the world than his hometown. No matter where life took him, Camdenton was where his heart belonged.

Lashley was a man who found joy in the simple things, especially the things that made him feel most like himself. He spent a lot of time as a kid camping with his mom and family. He loved hunting of all kinds, but dove hunting held a special place in his heart. One of his most memorable adventures was traveling to Idaho last year with some of his best friends to hunt mule deer. He enjoyed fishing with his dad, but to hear Lashley tell it, they may have gone a few too many times.

Construction was in Lashley’s blood. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, he found his calling in building things with his own hands. He worked under Jesse Byler before eventually setting out on his own with his best friend, Chad Byler. Lashley was a naturally talented builder. He had a way of looking at something and knowing how to make it work. He took pride in what he built, but even more than that, he took pride in building a life for the people he loved.

Lashley was the son who loved his parents unconditionally, the brother you could count on, the “rowdiest” uncle who loved his nieces and nephews, and the kind of family member who you were just always glad to see with a smile that radiated through the room and a laugh that filled the air.

Lashley was the kind of friend that people knew they could count on. If someone needed help, he would drop everything and show up. He never expected anything in return. If you thanked him, he would just shrug and say, “That’s just what you do.” To Lashley, helping the people he loved was never something that needed recognition. It was simply who he was.

He loved his friends fiercely and was extremely loyal to them. He had a stubborn side and was almost always convinced he was right. It was not easy to change his mind and, if we are being honest, a lot of the time he was right. That stubbornness was part of him, just like his loyalty, his humor, and his willingness to stand beside the people he cared about.

At 20 years old, Lashley met the love of his life, Alexandria. Known to everyone else as Ali, Lashley insisted on calling her Alexandria. For almost 14 years, they grew together, built a life together, and loved each other through every season. Their love was not just about the years they shared but about the life they were still creating.

In 2021, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Eleanora Marie McDaniel, into the world. Becoming a father was one of the greatest joys of Lashley’s life. He wore no title more proudly than *Dad*. He was the best “girl dad” who showed up to every dance recital, played Barbies, and even let his daughter put makeup on him, as long as his tough buddies didn’t find out.

Nora was, without a doubt, her daddy’s girl. She loved her dad with her whole heart. When asked who her favorite person in the world was during her kindergarten interview, her answer was simple: “My Daddy.”

Lashley and Alexandria were in the middle of building their dream home and preparing to welcome their second child, a baby boy. There was perhaps no one prouder than Lashley to be building that home for his family. Every wall, every room, and every plan represented something bigger than a house. It represented his dreams for his family, the future he wanted to give them, and the life he was so excited to continue building.

Lashley was dependable, hardworking, loyal, and deeply loved. He was a son, a brother, a partner, a father, a friend, and a man who made an impact on the people fortunate enough to know him. His life was filled with love, hard work, family, friendships, and dreams that were still unfolding. Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain in the people who knew him.

Lashley’s greatest legacy will not be found in the things he built, but in the people he loved and the lives he touched. He built with his hands, but he loved with his whole heart. His family was his greatest accomplishment, and he will forever be the man who gave Alexandria her first love, Nora her favorite person in the world, and his son a father to be proud of.

Lashley was preceded in passing by his father, Kim “L.T.” McDaniel; grandparents, Lashley & Shirley McDaniel; aunt, Michele Jeffires; and uncle, Bret Moore.

He is survived by his Fiancé, Alexandria Super; one daughter, Eleanora McDaniel; one son on the way, Louis Tanner McDaniel; mother, Candace & husband Kirk Walden, two sisters, Monique & husband Aaron Begley and Hannah & husband Dakota Geromini; brother, Eric & wife Stacey Willcut; step-brother, Caz Hughes; and his best friend, Chad Byler.

He was loved beyond words, and he will be missed for the rest of ours.
