Lenora Doris Case McNabb, daughter of James Dean and Letha Lucille (McCool) Case was born April 26, 1931 in Elkland, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Windsor Estates Care Center, at the age of ninety-four years, three months and twenty-eight days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband John Drew McNabb on June 10, 1991.
She is survived by her sons: John Drew McNabb, Jr and wife Maurice of Camdenton, Missouri, James Dean McNabb and Joseph Dane McNabb, both of Camdenton, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jayme Shellhorn, John Drew McNabb III and Julie Jackson; her great-grandchildren, Blake Case Shellhorn and Rylee K. Shellhorn. Two sisters, Lela Kathleen Hagel and Carolyn Ruth Webb; one niece and seven nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Lenora was born and raised in Elkland and was a graduate of Elkland High School in the Class of 1949. She later attended Southwest Missouri State College.
She was a lifetime member of Elkland Methodist Church and served in many roles within the church.
Lenora worked in the banking industry during her time living in Kansas City, Missouri and Pleasanton, California.
She dearly loved her family and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities.
In her spare time, Lenora was an avid collector of Caprice Glassware and loved watching birds and collected various bird figurines.
For the last few months, Lenora was a resident of Windsor Estates and the family would like to thank the nurses and staff there for their loving care of our mother and grandmother.
Lenora was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. We celebrate her long life and many accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
Per Lenora’s request, all services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the L.A.M.B. House and can be sent to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home at 15 Clint Ave, Camdenton, Missouri 65020. Arrangements are under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
