Linda Lou (Shipman) Starr, daughter of the late Earl “Dink” & Ruth (Blankenship) Shipman, was born on May 19, 1948 and departed this life on July 22, 2026. At the time of her passing, Linda was seventy-eight years, two months and three days of age.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Starr; her parents, Dink & Ruth Shipman; four brothers, Bill Shipman, Eddie Shipman, Freddie Shipman and Butch Shipman; one sister, Sue Kuhn; one sister-in-law, Sharon Shipman; and one brother-in-law, Jack Kuhn.

She is survived by her three children, Jeff (Dawne) Starr, Tonia Starr and Andy “Bean Dip” Wyatt; her grandchildren, Brianna Starr, Makenzee Starr, Tylor Mann as well as their mother Jamie Mann, Mylee (Skyler) Hanks as well as her mother Pam Coble, Amanda Baker (Nick), Sammi (Todd) Bithell, C.J. Baker and Brooklynn Angell; her great-grandchildren, Isabella, Bentley, Korbin, Landon, Willian, Nicky, Lane, Joey, Gunner, Maylynne, Wrenlee, Bostyn and Bryson; one sister, Ellen (Rick) Bradley of Linn Creek; and three sister-in-laws, Peggy Shipman of Texas, Cheryl Shipman of Linn Creek, and Linda Lindsey of Springfield. Linda also leaves behind many friends and other family members who will truly miss her.

Linda was raised in Linn Creek MO and attended school in Camdenton MO. After finishing her time in school, Linda was a stay-at-home mom and began a very long career in childcare where she cared for several generations of children and loved each and every one of her “kiddos” as if they were her own.

On June 4, 1966, Linda was united in marriage to Danny Starr and together they would raise three children and share fifty-seven years of marriage before his passing in 2023. Following their marriage, they would spend a few years in Belton, Missouri before moving to Camdenton to raise their family. Together Danny and Linda had so much love to share that they opened their home to several friends and treated anyone that entered their home as if they were family. There was always a warm meal, big hugs, and many laughs to be shared.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, baking, spoiling her grand babies and most of all spending time with friends and family.

She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 27, 2026 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 26, 2026 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Interment will take place following the services in Freedom Cemetery, Montreal, Missouri.

Memorial donations may be made to the Freedom Cemetery and left at the funeral home the day of the service.
