Marcia Diane Messer, daughter of Ronald Glen and Patricia Ann (Aholt) Messer, was born July 29, 1981, in Lebanon, Missouri, and passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Lake Regional Hospital. She was 44 years, 4 months, and 3 days old.
Marcia was a lifelong resident of Camdenton and a proud member of the Camdenton High School Class of 2000. She was baptized in the Catholic faith and was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, where she especially enjoyed participating in the Prison Prayer Service.
Marcia found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved walking the trails at Ha Ha Tonka State Park, going on “critter cruises” to count deer and turkeys, working puzzles, watching cooking shows, and playing Uno. She treasured her winter trips to Navarre Beach, Florida, where she enjoyed strolling along the pier. Time spent in her flower garden brought her peace, and attending Tim Tebow Proms over the years created cherished memories. A devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan, Marcia knew nearly everything about the team and especially adored her favorite player, Yadier Molina.
She spent many years working at Lake Area Industries, where she formed lasting friendships and brought warmth to those around her. Marcia faced challenges throughout her life, yet she met every one of them with a smile that uplifted others.
Marcia is survived by her mother, Patricia Messer of Camdenton, Missouri; her father, Ronald Messer and wife Sandy of Eldridge, Missouri; her brothers, Travis Messer and wife Kelsey of Camdenton, Missouri, and Phillip Perry; her sister, Amy Dampier; along with numerous other relatives and many dear friends.
Marcia’s kindness, her joyful spirit, and her unwavering resilience will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with burial to follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time-of-service Saturday in the church. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or to send a beautiful floral arrangement to the services.
