He attended Camdenton Schools and when his education was complete, he started his career in construction. Mike had a knack to build or fix anything and was known as a hard worker. He spent time working as an O.A.T.S. driver until re-entering the construction industry.
Mike was a skilled leather craftsman and made many beautiful pieces throughout the years. Even in his later years, Mike maintained his love for hunting, fishing and horseback riding. Mike never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. Spending time with his family and many friends was something that he truly cherished.
