ROBERT McCAIN Robert Clarence McCain, son of Vaughn F. and Florence Scroggins Lewis, was born, June 24, 1936 in El Reno, Oklahoma. He departed this life, Monday, April 27, 2009 in Lake Regional Hospital at the age of seventy-two years, ten months and three days. He was united in marriage to Helen Dwyer and to this union five children were born. He later married Mildred McCain and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his father, Vaughn F. Lewis of Linn Creek, Missouri; eight children, Vaughn McCain and partner Sandy of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Debra McCain of Camdenton, Missouri, Robert McCain and wife Peggy of San Luis Obispo, California, Patrick McCain of St. Louis, Missouri, Cynthia McCain of Snohomish, Washington, Ricky Earnest of St. Louis, Missouri, Jeff Earnest and wife Jenny of O'Fallon, Missouri and Kathy Hummelson and husband Ron of O'Fallon, Missouri; grandchildren, Jacob McCain, Ryan McCain, Katie McCain, Nick Bruck, Cliff Bruck and Nalani McCain Burke; tow great-granddaughters, Mia McCain and Isabelle Bruck and many friends He was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and spent a few years as a youngster in Camdenton. He lived most of his life in the St. Louis and O'Fallon area where he worked as a Gas Technician for Laclede Gas in St. Louis. He retired to Lake of the Ozarks in 1999. He was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, Missouri. While in the lake area, he attended The Shrine of St. Patrick and St. Anthony Catholic Church. In his spare time he was an avid fisherman. He was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams fan. A memorial visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzhemimer's Association and left at the funeral home. Arangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
