Tommy Loyd Hunter

Tommy Loyd Hunter, son of Tillman and Florence (Eberhart) Hunter, was born on October 16, 1943 in Comanche, Oklahoma. He departed this life on July 30, 2025 in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, nine months and fourteen days.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne Hunter; parents, Tillman & Florence Hunter; and six siblings, Willis Hunter, Guy Hunter, Wilma Houselog, Louise Kauffman, Bill Hunter and Carl Hunter.

He is survived by two children, Michael & wife Kimberly Hunter and Matthew & wife Natosha Hunter; seven siblings, Robert & wife Sharon Hunter, Laura & husband Russell DeVenney, Donald & wife Edie Hunter, Jim & wife Carolyn Hunter, Roy & wife Gail Hunter, Bertha & husband Jerry Rogers, and Richard & wife Julie Hunter; and five grandchildren, Trey, Spencer, Matt, Trenton, and Bailey. In his passing, Tommy also leaves behind many friends and family who will all truly miss him.

Tommy was raised in Linn Creek, Missouri, later graduating from Camdenton High School. Following his high school graduation, he would then attend Central Missouri State University. On May 29, 1965, Tommy was united in marriage to Marianne Lonchena.

Tommy made a profession of Christian faith and was a member of First Christian Church in Sedalia, Missouri.

In his spare time, Tommy enjoyed fishing, fastpitch softball, baseball, reading, and spending time with family.

He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church of Sedalia, Missouri and left at the funeral home.
