It is with deep sorrow and eternal love that we announce the passing of Violeta Chapa, who left this world peacefully on a warm summer morning, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her passing was as gentle as her spirit — serene, graceful, and wrapped in the embrace of those who loved her most.
Violeta was a beacon of warmth, compassion, and unwavering love. She was brought into this world by her Mother and Father, Francisca Vizcaino Ferretes, and Jacinto Gomez Lara. Violeta was born in the beautiful state of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, on December 31, 1962.
She spent her early childhood raising her four siblings, swimming in the great "rios" of Mexico, and dancing to Mexican folk music. Violeta went to school in Damien Carmona. She later attended college in Ciudad Valles, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in teaching.
Violeta married the love of her life, Luciano Eugenio Chapa, in 1988, and together they built a home filled with laughter, music, and barbecues. The couple moved from the great state of Texas to plant their roots in Camdenton, Missouri. They happily raised their three children.
Violeta is survived by her husband, Luciano Chapa, siblings: Armando Gomez, Alma Gomez, Victor Gomez, Margarito Gomez, Rosio Gomez, Alfredo Gomez, Jorge Gomez, Vanessa Martinez, Hugo Martinez, and Jesus Martinez., her three children: Erick Chapa, Ariana Chapa, and Alondra Chapa; and lastly, her beloved grandson Cayne Alejandre.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jacinto Gomez, whose memories she held close to her heart.
Though words can never fully capture the depth of our loss, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the lives she touched. She was — and always will be — deeply loved and profoundly missed.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.
