Paul Lionel Stine

Paul Lionel Stine, son of Clarence Grant and Dessie May King Stine, was born, March 6, 1934 in, Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life, Tuesday, November 7, 2017, in his home at Sunrise Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-three years, eight months and one day.

He was preceded in death by loving wife; Maribell Crane Stine.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Alice Stine of Kansas City, Missouri and Paula McCorkel of Kearney, Missouri; a son, Wes Heavner of Independence, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Chris Heavner and wife Ashley of Camdenton, Missouri, Harley Heavner and wife Samantha of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Anna Henry and husband Eric of Kearney, Missouri, Bud Mosel of Kearney, Missouri, Valarie Isabell of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Dana Ritchie of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Sara Heavner of Dallas, Texas and Jessica Elrba of Dallas, Texas; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Elaine DelPercio of Independence, Missouri, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Paul was born in the Kansas City area and spent his younger years there. He had a thirty year career at Leeds General Motor Plant as Supervisor until his retirement. In the late 1970’s they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where he owned and operated S & W Bargain Shop for many years.

He was a lifetime member of the NRA and the Missouri Conservation. He was also part of the General Motor Retirees group.

Paul love learning about war history, especially World War II fighter planes. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he loved bird hunting in his earlier years, fishing for crappie and white bass and bird watching. His love of making things work, earned him the title of “Jack Of All Trades”.

Paul, who always wanted to be a story teller, blessed his family with many wonderful stories and memories that they will always treasure. He was a loving, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and a loving neighbor and friend.

Private memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017, at Big Niangua Cemetery (Roach). Burial will be in the Big Niangua Cemetery (Roach), Roach, Missouri.

Memorial donations may be made to Harley Heavner and left at the funeral home. Harley, who gave years of his life to care for Paul so Paul could die in his home, the house Paul built, plans to stay in the family home with his wife and newly born child.

Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
